First Budget Advisory Meeting. Board Meeting to follow at 7:00 pm

The North Merrick Board of Education will hold the Budget Hearing and monthly school board meeting on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 7:00 PM at the Harold D. Fayette School, 1057 Merrick Avenue, North Merrick.

The meeting will be in-person and called to order at 6:00 PM in H.D. Fayette Room 126. At that time, it is anticipated that the Board will immediately act upon a motion to convene into Executive Session to discuss matters of personnel (executive session is closed to the public). The Board of Education will reconvene into public session at 7:00 PM to begin the Budget Hearing.

Due to social distancing guideline and per Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order, seating is limited to 45 and is on a first-come-first-served basis. Doors will open at 5:45 PM. Visitors must wear a mask while inside the school building. Upon entering the school, temperatures will be taken and visitors will be asked to complete a COVID-19 questionnaire/health survey.

The meeting will be livestreamed. The link will be available on our website one (1) hour prior to meeting.

The Board of Education will be accepting questions via email and in person. Please send any comments/questions to the NMBOE@nmerrick.org  by 10:00 AM day of meeting.

The Board of Education of North Merrick Public Schools will hold its monthly Board meeting on May 12, 2020 at 8:00 PM. As authorized by Executive Order No. 202.1, signed by Governor Andrew Cuomo, the meeting will be held remotely by videoconference and the public will not be permitted to attend the meeting in-person.

The meeting will be called to order at 6:45 PM. At that time, it is anticipated that the Board will immediately act upon a motion to convene into Executive Session to discuss matters of personnel and to obtain legal advice from counsel (the executive session is closed to the public). The Board of Education will reconvene into public session at 8:00 PM.

ALL NORTH MERRICK RESIDENTS GET OUT AND VOTE!

The North Merrick Board of Education will meet on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 in the Board Room of the Harold D. Fayette School, 1057 Merrick Avenue, for its regular monthly meeting. The meeting will be called to order at 6:15 PM. It is anticipated that the Board of Education will immediately act upon a motion to convene an executive session to discuss the appointment of particular persons (executive session is closed to the public). Upon completion of Executive Session, the Board of Education will be holding a Public Work Session at 7:15 PM in the General Purpose Room of the Harold D. Fayette School. The purpose of the work session is to discuss programs. At the conclusion of the work session, the Board of Education will begin the monthly Board Meeting and Budget Hearing in the General Purpose Room at 8:00 PM. The public is invited to attend.

Please attend the first School Board meeting of 2019. Hope to see everyone there.

Board will hold a special board meeting to address who to fill the vacant seat. Per notice from District. Board will immediately go into executive session and reconvene for public portion of meeting at 9:45 p.m. The Meeting is scheduled in a conference room not the GPR room.

Please join use for monthly BOE meeting at Fayette GPR Room. This meeting will address the decision of Board to fill Pinto's seat.

Due to John Pinto's resignation following the recent May 15 2018 election, the Board of Education is holding a special public meeting to discuss the best way to fill Mr. Pinto's seat. THIS IS AN IMPORTANT MEETING AND ALL RESIDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.

Board of Education Election and Budget Vote.  Two trustee seats are up for grabs.

Come to Harold D. Fayette School and meet candidates running for our Board of Education. Ask questions and become informed on who is the right trustee for our Board.
