NORTH MERRICK RESIDENTS WE NEED YOU TO GET OUT AND VOTE FOR WILL LUCIANI, STEVE ENELLA AND MEG RYAN ON MAY 17, 2022!!!!

The Budget and Trustee Election is Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at the North Merrick Library from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

There are three seats up  and the following individuals are running in the order they appear on the ballot:

1.     Will Luciani

2.     Meg Ryan (incumbent-current President)

3.     Chris Mitkish

4.     Carson Termotto

5.     Steve Enella (incumbent-current Vice President)

There are 3 propositions that will appear on the ballot.  2 dealing with approving the budget for both the high school and elementary schools and one dealing with approving to transfer $2 million from the Capital Reserve to fund the following middle school projects:

·        Parking lot, tennis court & track resurfacing

·        Floor and ceiling tile replacement

·        Family & Consumer Science room renovations at Grand Avenue and Merrick Middle Schools

·        Replace stage curtains and gym partitions

Last year out of 12,000 registered voters, less than a thousand people voted.  That is less than 10% turnout.  Election is at large.  Which means the three candidates with the most votes win seats. We can and should do more. The people that are elected to the Board oversee $34 million dollars of our taxes. Please vote to make your voice heard. Every vote matters and is counted.

VOTE #1, #2, AND #5 ON MAY 17, 2022.
